Quordle Answers That Match Your Clues

Stuck between several possible answers in Quordle? Our free Quordle Solver helps you narrow down the possibilities using the clues from your game. Enter your five-letter guesses, mark the green, yellow, and gray letters on each board, and find words that fit the feedback.

Quordle uses the same guess across four puzzles, but each answer produces its own color pattern. This tool keeps those clues separate, helping you investigate each word without mixing up confirmed letters or ruled-out positions.

How to Use the Quordle Solver

  1. Enter your guess. Type a five-letter word you have already played in Quordle.
  2. Match the colors. Set each letter to green, yellow, or gray according to the feedback on the first board.
  3. Check all four boards. Apply the correct colors separately to each board. The guessed word is shared, but the feedback may differ.
  4. Add your other guesses. Record previous rows so the solver can use all the clues available.
  5. Find matching words. Select Find Words and review the candidate list for each board before returning to your game.

Example: You guess CRANE. On Board 1, R is green in the second position and A is yellow in the third. On Board 2, R is gray and E is green in the fifth position. Enter these patterns separately. The solver then searches for words that satisfy each board’s own clues rather than treating both puzzles as if they had the same answer.

What the Letter Colors Tell You

Each color adds a specific rule that helps narrow the possible answer. Entering the correct feedback is essential because a single mistake can remove the actual answer from the results.

  • Green: The letter is correct and in the right position. Matching words must keep it there.
  • Yellow: The answer contains the letter, but not in the position where you guessed it.
  • Gray: The letter is not matched at that position and may be absent from the answer. When a guess repeats a letter, interpret gray feedback alongside the other colors to determine whether another occurrence is present.

These rules apply independently to each Quordle board. A letter can be green on one board and gray on another because the four hidden answers are different.

How Matching Words Are Found

Our Quordle Solver compares your recorded feedback with words in its available five-letter dictionary. It checks the complete pattern instead of simply looking for words that contain a particular letter.

Correct positions Green letters must remain in their confirmed positions.
Letter restrictions Yellow letters must appear elsewhere, not in the positions marked yellow.
Repeated letters Duplicate-letter feedback helps distinguish words with different letter counts.
Separate results Each board receives its own alphabetically sorted list of matching candidates, with up to 500 results displayed.

The results show which words fit the clues you entered, not necessarily every official answer accepted by your particular Quordle version. The game’s answer list and the solver’s dictionary may differ.

Using the Results to Solve Quordle

A long candidate list means your clues still allow several possible answers. A short list means your previous guesses have narrowed the pattern considerably. Use the results to identify what remains uncertain rather than selecting a word simply because it looks familiar.

For example, if a board confirms R in the second position and A in the fifth, candidates must follow the pattern _ R _ _ A. Any word that breaks either confirmed position can be ruled out. Yellow letters and excluded letters provide further restrictions, helping you compare the remaining possibilities.

When a board returns no matching words, check the spelling of each guess and verify every color against the original game. Pay particular attention to yellow positions and repeated letters. If the clues are correct, the answer may not be included in the available dictionary.

Quordle Solver FAQs

Is this Quordle Solver free?

Yes. You can enter your guesses, record the feedback for all four boards, and search for matching five-letter words online.

Does the solver support all four Quordle boards?

Yes. The solver uses shared guess entries while allowing separate color feedback and candidate results for each of the four puzzles.

Does it account for repeated letters?

Yes. Matching takes the complete color pattern into account, including feedback involving repeated letters. Enter each color exactly as shown in your game for the most useful results.

Why are there no matching words?

One or more colors may have been entered incorrectly, or the answer may be missing from the solver’s dictionary. Review your previous guesses and check the feedback on the relevant board.

Does the Quordle Solver guarantee the correct answer?

No. It finds dictionary words that fit the clues you provide. The final answer depends on the puzzle’s answer list and whether the recorded feedback is accurate.
